I'm the newsletter editor for the Science, Technology, and Environmental politics section of APSA (the American Political Science Association).
I tweet very, very rarely, but when I do it's @ABKirkpatrick
Here is a funny thing I wrote with my brother a long time ago.
Some book reviews I have written:
Transboundary Environmental Governance Across the World's Longest Border, in Global Environmental Politics
Readjusting the Council Presidency: Belgian Leadership in the EU, in Journal of Common Market Studies
Water Without Borders? Canada, the United States, and Shared Waters, in Review of Policy Research

I grew up in several places in Oklahoma and Texas, though I consider my hometown to be scenic Guthrie, Oklahoma (home to the annual '89er Land Rush Celebration). After attending college at Tulane University (with a study-abroad year at the University of Manchester in the UK), I embarked on a (somewhat brief) career in journalism at the Enid News & Eagle (Enid, OK) and then the Guthrie News Leader (Guthrie, OK). I then obtained a master's degree at Baylor University and a Ph.D. at Emory University.
My wife Susan Kirkpatrick is an elementary school teacher; we have three kids and live in Newport News, Virginia.
